City Bus Ride

Trenton has been asking me and asking me about riding the city bus to work and back. we have told him no, not by yourself. he does ride the bus with his group from REACH on Fridays as they go out into the community. and we did get him a bus pass that is “only good on Fridays.” i will explain that on a different occasion. anyway, back to the bus. he has gotten quite mad at his mom and me. so i told him today that i will ride the bus home with him tomorrow afternoon. so Cindy will be dropping me off at REACH and Trenton and me will be getting on the bus to ride it home. how fun is that!

i always get a kick out of the phrases Trenton comes up with. where did he here that. how does he know to use it in a sentence correctly. he cant read really. God is amazing. i am cleaning up my mess in the kitchen after i ate and he asks me a question. i forget about what, he asks me a million of them a day. so i answer him and he says “bingo” right  answer daddy-o. then proceeds to knock me on the head and say “nice white spot baldy”.  and of course the never ending “your jeeps on fire” to which i reply “what!!!”. “HA HA gotcha” he replys,  every time.

his friend Peter was working with him at REACH and they playing with a box. Peter apparently had a hard time getting out of the box. so some of the employees at REACH asked Trent to give Peter a hand. of course they meant helping him out of the box. Trenton proceeds to tell everyone “sure Peter i’ll give you a hand” and he starts clapping. well with T’s (we call Trenton T) personality everyone thought that it was quite funny, as did Trenton. Peter eventually got out of the box, but i don’t know how much help he got.

I am Trenton’s supervisor at Reach in Workshop 3. I remember the day he came in to work and he was upset because he wanted to ride the bus and mom told him no. He told me the van was too loud. He then told me he was riding the bus home on friday and I remember the excitement in his eyes! He was sooo excited to be able to ride the bus. I didn’t know dad was riding the bus with him until I saw him at the end of the day waiting for Trenton. He came in today (Monday) and I asked him how the bus ride went. He told me it went fine. He is a wonderful guy and I’m am very honored to be able to work with him everyday! He has brought sooo much sunshine into my life since the day he started!! Thanks for everything you guys have done…in my eyes you guys are incredible!!
